Kelslim™ (www.kelslim.com) is a proudly South African, Cape Town-based company producing exceptional health, skincare and hair care products for men and women from locally harvested, fresh seaweed. By harvesting natural intelligence from the sea, Kelslim is an essential complement to healthy living and a new, improved lifestyle. All of the Kelslim products are 100-percent organic and do not contain any artificial or synthetic additives.

The kelp that is simply bursting with the goodness of the ocean is hand-harvested from the Cape West Coast, which houses one of the last pure kelp beds in the world and is fed by the clean Benguela cold water current, which flows directly up from the pristine ice continent of the Antarctica.

This seaweed—called Ecklonia maxima—contains the richest source of natural organic iodine as well as an extraordinary wealth of minerals and elements that it draws directly from the sea. No land vegetable has a comparable quantity of minerals and vitamins.

The first in the product range are the Kelslim kelp capsules. The seaweed is sustainably hand-harvested and then sundried and milled. This golden-brown, superfine seaweed powder is then placed into capsules to form a very powerful, pure and organic essential life support supplement. These Kelslim kelp capsules are recommended by health practitioners for the successful treatment of conditions such as hyperthyroidism, insomnia, hair loss, obesity, poor memory, exhaustion, constipation, indigestion and depression.

The soon-to-be-launched Kelslim skin and hair care products for men and women are all made from the purest seaweed. About Jacqui Berry and Lara Pearson, mother and daughter co-owners of Kelslim

Jacqui Berry and Lara Pearson, mother and daughter co-owners of Kelslim, are a dedicated duo and extremely passionate about health and wellness. Berry has a strong entrepreneurial background and has qualifications in both interior design and fitness and nutrition. She is the owner of a successful interior design business, Jacqueline Berry Interiors (www.jbinteriors.co.za). Pearson holds an honors degree in media, theory and practice from the University of Cape Town and previously worked in marketing positions at Indaba Mobile and Lindt. Berry and Pearson were both born and bred on the coast, where generations of their family have shown a true appreciation for the sea, deriving their nutrition from the catch of the day and simply enjoying the surf for all its recreational activities. During their extensive seaweed research, it was evident to them that seaweed retains the unique capacity to fill all the nutrient gaps that are sorely lacking in nutritional value today due to the decline of our soils and the food that is produced on land. They have teamed together, bringing their diverse work experiences, qualifications and their shared passion for supporting local, sustainable harvesting and everything organic and green. They are geared and set to change the landscape of health and wellness in South Africa. Deeply inspired by the sea and its hidden treasures, they realized the enormous health potential that their local seaweed contains.
